The Lauenen bed takes this directive to its limits, creating a bed that contains all the amenities and activities of the bedroom. Mad of steamed and hacked oak, the bed hides a complex of wires that allows the user to control all the lighting of the room, while also conveniently charge any electronic devices. In the back side of the large headboard, the bed also acts as a library and study, transforming the bedroom, and indeed the bed itself, as a room of private contemplation asides from a place to sleep in.
