Our diverse portfolio of built work spans the UK, Europe and Africa.

About the position

We are seeking for a seasoned Part 3 architect with 15 years’ post-qualification experience to join as a technical director of one of our new projects:

  • conference centre and concert hall in Egypt. Currently starting concept stage

  • 300 Key Hotel in Cairo. Currently starting feasibility study

The position is full-time and we will provide a competitive salary based on skills and experience.

About your experience and skills

  • Part 3 with 15 years’ professional experience

  • understanding and experience of contract administration in all RIBA stages and contract negotiation

  • experience on design and construction in Middle Eastern countries will be an advantage

  • technical background strong in construction detailing

  • experience working with a multinational consultant team

As we are transitioning from AutoCAD to BIM we require:

  • proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is essential

Architects or Architectural Assistants

Studio Seilern Architects is recruiting architects or architectural assistants to join its practice in London. 

About the position

We are seeking Part 2 or Part 3 architects to join our fast expanding studio in our new projects:

  • concert hall in Egypt

  • residential and hotel projects in the UK and abroad

The position is full-time and we will provide a competitive salary based on skills and experience.

About your experience:

  • a minimum of two years’ experience post-Part 2 or Part 3 is required.

  • three to five years’ UK experience

  • professional experience in concept and development stages, RIBA 1 to 3

About your skills:

  • a high degree of proficiency in AutoCAD, Adobe Suite and Rhino is essential

  • strong visual communication and ability to explain concepts in diagrammatic form

  • experience producing client presentations documents

Office Manager

Studio Seilern Architects is hiring an office manager to join its firm in London.

About Studio Seilern Architects

Studio Seilern Architects is a London-based international creative practice established in 2005 by Christina Seilern to work across geographies, building sizes and typologies. The practice is currently delivering projects in the UK, Europe and Africa.

The role

We are seeking an experienced office manager to join our fast-expanding studio.  This is a key role which offers an opportunity to grow with us and to take ownership of the day-to-day management of our practice. You will be a mature and highly organised self-starter.

Duties will include, but not limited to…

Administration:

  • PA duties to principal – managing diary, travel and other business and personal admin

  • travel arrangements for the office

  • managing and maintaining filing systems (paper and electronic)

  • managing office calendar, meeting room bookings

  • ensuring company policies are maintained

  • general support to the team

Accounts:

  • weekly and monthly financial reporting, analysis and projections

  • liaising with accountant and bookkeeper; preparing documents for VAT returns

  • maintaining up-to-date entries into SAGE for income and expenses

  • client invoicing and updating of billing schedule

  • coordinating outsourced payroll

  • coordinating staff expenses

  • managing all financial transactions

Reception:

  • answering incoming calls

  • greeting visitors and preparing meetings

  • dealing with outgoing and incoming deliveries/post

Office maintenance:

  • ensuring the day-to-day efficiency of the office is running smoothly

  • managing office consumables  (stationery, office and kitchen supplies and equipment)

  • making sure studio and workshop consumables are fully stocked

  • IT: managing printers and printer supplies, keeping software licenses and maintenance contracts up to date; liaising with external IT support

HR support:

  • coordinating staff holiday requests

  • reviewing job applications, setting up interviews, drafting offers and employment contracts

  • overseeing the on boarding, introduction and training of new staff

Requirements

You will be an experienced user of Microsoft Office and Sage.

You must have previous experience working as an office manager – PA experience would be advantageous – have excellent written and verbal communication skills, be highly organised and able to prioritise tasks and time efficiently.
